Will You Know If There Is An Emergency?
If an emergency occurs on campus – weather, power, or criminal – the University wants to let you know as quickly as possible. Emergency procedures are being developed that will use a variety of communication methods to alert you.
Emails will be sent to all students and employees, and notices will be posted on UM-Dearborn’s main website. One of the quickest and most versatile tools currently available is text messaging, which will reach you even if you aren’t using a computer.
But it is critical for you to provide your current cell phone number and provider so that you will receive emergency messages. You can quickly and easily update this information through UM-Dearborn Connect. Go to Personal Information and select Update Emergency Text Messaging Info.
