BEWARE OF PHISHING SCAM THAT APPEARS TO COME FROM UM-DEARBORN
You may have received an email recently that appears to be a legitimate communication from the University. The message asks you to respond with private information or risk having your account deactivated. This message is a typical "phishing" scam, which often looks authentic and may appear to come from official sources. But the University and other institutions will never request secure and confidential information through email.
If you receive this message, delete it. Never respond with any personal information. If you provided your password, change it immediately to protect your account. If you have questions or need assistance, contact the ITS Help Desk at 313-593-4357.
