Saving Email and Webmail
Using Webmail
- Login to webmail: http://webmail.umd.umich.edu
- Click on Folders from the Top menu
- Click the box next to "Choose Action" to select all folders
- From the drop down menu, select Download Folders. If you have a lot of email to save, it is best to choose the Download Folders in zip format
- A message box will appear indicating the messages will be saved in MBOX format - Click OK
- A message box will confirm saving the folder/message - Click OK
- The folder/messages will be saved to the local PC
Saving email using Thunderbird or Mail.app
Users can drag folders from their IMAP location to the Local Folder location, which will save the messages to the local hard drive.
