Software & Computer Discounts
The Univeristy of Michigan has a license with McAfee Inc. and Sophos Plc to provide Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software to eligible students, faculty, and staff of all campuses of the University of Michigan. Your Dearborn email password will be used to download the software.
As part of a Campus Agreement with Microsoft faculty, staff, and students can purchase products at significantly reduced costs for their personal computers.
ITS has a license with Minitab Inc. to provide its Minitab® software to eligible students, faculty, and staff of the University of Michigan - Dearborn campus. In order to download MInitab you will need to read and agree to the following Mintab Student and Faculty License Agreement.
Students can purchase a copy of Mathematica for home use - this program is used extensively in Calc I, II, & III.
In conjunction with e-academy Inc., some software is offered to students and instructors the opportunity to experience software needed by renting it for five or twelve months, or purchasing a perpetual license.
Enrolled U-M students, current U-M faculty/staff, and U-M emeritus faculty can purchase computer hardware, software, and supplies at discounted prices. (Examples of some of the software offered: MatLab, SAS, and DreamWeaver). UM-Dearborn members must purchase Microsoft products on the Dearborn campus.
