Computer Labs
ITS maintains two general purpose computer labs in the Computing Wing and Mardigian Library, with approximately 150 computers available. These labs are open to all students at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, without regard to school or program.
- With your uniqname and server password, you can login to University systems, access the Internet, and utilize a large suite of software products available for your academic pursuits.
- Trained ITS Computer Counselors are available in the labs to assist you. They can answer many common questions about campus logins and systems. They are not trained to help you with all the software available in the labs.
- Students are expected to comply with University policies and follow ITS guidelines on responsible use of computing resources. For more information see Rules of Conduct and Policies.
Adaptive Learning Lab
The Adaptive Learning Lab is located adjacent to the Mardigian Library Lab. It provides two standard lab computer workstations, two scanners, c'etv, and a printer. In addition to the standard software products, they also runs JAWS and ZoomText.
Printing
High speed printers are available for your use in the ITS computer labs. You must provide your own paper, or you can purchase paper in the labs for .02 cents per sheet.
Scanning
A dedicated computer workstation and scanner are located in both the Computing Wing and Mardigian Library labs. These can be used to scan images for your files.
Resetting Passwords
You can reset your Dearborn passwords on workstations located in both labs. The ITS Lab Counselors can assist you as required.
