New to Computing or Ever Lost Your Work?
Try out these tips to make sure you never lose your work again...
- Save the file often, every 5 minutes or so.
- Save the file to your Home Directory. The H: drive under My Computer is automatically mapped to your Unix home directory. This space can be accessed through SFTP from anywhere with Internet access - home or in the labs.
- Save the file on a USB drive or burn to cd.
- Make a hard copy. Print out the most updated version before closing the file.
- E-mail the latest version to your e-mail account, make sure that it went through and that it opens before closing the file.
