Campus Events Calendar
UM-Dearborn's events calendar can be used to display business, academic, and social events of interest to the campus. You can view events on the campus calendar at http://eventcalendar.umd.umich.edu. Everyone with a UM-Dearborn computer account is encouraged to login and submit events to the calendar. Once submitted, the event will be routed by email to a designated unit liaison who will be responsible for verifying its acccuracy and compliance with University policy. Once approved, the event will be released for posting to the calendar.
NOTE: All student events must be approved by the Student Activities Office. Anyone can add a student event, but must designate the Student Activities Office as the department on the scheduling screen so that SAO will receive an email requesting approval. Once approval has been granted, you will receive an email that it has been approved. You will also receive an email if it is denied.
LIAISON INFORMATION:
Authorization to be a liaison must be approved by the individual department, then submitted to trainer(at)umd.umich.edu for activation. You can view events on the campus calendar by going to http://eventcalendar.umd.umich.edu.
For those who have the proper authorization, there are several important rules to remember when logged into the calendar:

HOW TO DISPLAY YOUR GROUP'S EVENTS ON YOUR WEBPAG
The Event Calendar uses a database that can be read by most web servers. The person responsible for your web site will need to initiate this with a request to the ITS Helpdesk at helpdesk(at)umd.umich.edu. Once set up, your event will be displayed automatically. If your page is not hosted by ITS, some changes to the web server to support this feature may be needed.
